Local people are being invited to meetings held by NHS Canterbury and Coastal Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) to discuss plans to improve local health and care in east Kent.
There will be a panel of experts from social care, local authorities, public health and mental health working with the CCGs to have a productive discussion. The events will give people a chance to:
- understand how GP practices are planning on working together across local areas and what difference it will make to patients
- hear about improvements in care being provided by GP practices and a wider teams of professionals to support the frailest patients with complex needs both in and out of hospital
- hear about the challenges faced by the hospital and their thinking around emergency treatment, stroke, and planned care for orthopaedics (hip and knees
There will also be information about the wider plans for transforming health and social care services across Kent and Medway as part of the Kent and Medway Sustainability and Transformation Partnership (STP).
Most importantly we want to hear from you.
We want you to tell us the outcomes you want for your community, hear your feedback on what is presented, so we can finalise our plans. We want to benefit from your experience as patients, carers and staff so that all patients get the best treatment and care, and we can address any concerns you might have.
The events are free but advance booking is required on nelcsu. engagement.@nhs.net
