Participants from Arsenal in the Community mental health scheme travelled to Merseyside for a trip to remember when Arsenal’s players played Everton in the Community in a special five-a-side match.
The Premier League/BT Disability Sport Programme, which was launched last year, brought the two teams together to play before watching the Gunners play Everton at Goodison Park.
The PL/BT Disability Sport programme seeks to create possibilities for disabled people through sport.
The Trust have worked in partnership with Arsenal in the Community, who works towards combating the stigma around mental health, since 2011. Football sessions are held twice weekly for service users who are referred to the programme by our clinicians.
