Jack Phillips – Devon Partnership NHS Trust

Jack first started his career in secure services at Langdon Hospital as a sports and leisure co-ordinator within the OT department.

Jack is now the Lead Physical Health Practitioner in the secure directorate for Devon Partnership trust. Being qualified as an exercise for mental health specialist he is very passionate about the physical health as well as the mental health of patients within a secure setting and is a massive promoter of how physical activity can play a huge part in ensuring a good mental wellbeing.

He has recently been an integral part of carrying out a big team restructure within the physical therapies department which has seen patient engagement in physical activity more than double within 6 months of the restructure with a focus on co-produced low level activity.

Jack also has a massive interest and input to the wellbeing of staff and using activity to bring departments together to focus on the social benefits of exercise as well as the physical and mental.

Lawford Clough – East London NHS Foundation Trust

Lawford Clough is a Registered Mental Nurse and has worked in East London NHS Foundation Trust for over 20 years. He has worked in various mental health inpatient and community healthcare settings, including secure services, and is currently based in the Forensic Service in East London.
Lawford has a particular interest in working across agencies to eliminate barriers to providing the highest quality of care in co-production with service users and in the least restrictive environment possible. He is keen to make links with other services nationally and internationally to exchange new ideas and innovative practice.”
