Pattie Lopez, Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust holds the role of Patient Liaison Worker at The Abraham Cowley Unit, our largest mental health hospital. She runs the weekly community meetings, organises innovative celebrations, and supports people who use services to volunteer in the Cafe, often going above and beyond her duties.
Her role is focused on helping, supporting and improving the stay of people who use services. This busy, demanding and often challenging position is one that Pattie carries out with huge enthusiasm, passion and devotion. We all feel that her devotion to improving the lives of people who suffer from mental ill health should be recognised.
“One of our PALS co-ordinators once said to me ‘every trust should have a Pattie Lopez’ and I completely agree.”
