Nominations Open For Positive Practice MH Awards 2017

There are 21 Team / Service Awards for Positive Practice in Mental Health, which are supported by NHS England.

 

1.Primary and secondary mental health care Collaboration (NHS England) 

For collaboration in primary and secondary mental health across any age group

  1. Psychological Therapies (NHS England)

For positive practice in improving access and outcomes in secondary mental health care

  1. Employment (NHS England)

For positive practice in improving access and outcomes in secondary mental health care

  1. Housing (NHS England) 

For positive practice in improving access and outcomes in secondary mental health care

  1. Partnership Working – mental health inequalities (NHS England) 

For positive practice in partnership working to reduce mental health inequalities  across any age group.  Nominations from those doing this in the area of BME, and LGBT communities particularly welcomed.

  1. Co-Production of Care (NHS England) 

For positive practice in co-producing  care across any age group

  1. Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Care (NHS England)

For positive practice in improving access and outcomes through  specialist perinatal mental health care

  1. Specialist Eating Disorders Care (NHS England) 

For positive practice in improving access and outcomes through specialist eating disorders care across any age group

  1. Crisis and Acute Services (NHS England)

For positive practice in improving access and experience in crisis and acute services across any age group

  1. Innovation in Digital Technology (NHS England)

For positive practice in innovative use of digital technology to improve access and outcomes across any age group

  1. Psychological Therapies for People with ‘Common MH Problems’ (NHS England) 

For positive practice in improving outcomes in psychological Therapies for people with common MH problems

  1. Integration of Physical and Mental Health (NHS England) 

For positive practice in improving outcomes through the integration of physical and mh care

  1. Education (NHS England) 

For positive practice in improving access and outcomes in schools/universities or colleges across all age groups.  Nominations welcomed from education, health, social care and third sector colleagues.

14.Innovation in Children and Young People’s MH (NHS England)

For positive practice by a service/team working with children, adolescents or young people who have developed innovative ways of working, and involving their patients in the service.

  1. Specialist Services

For positive practice in specialist services such as learning disabilities, personality disorder, military veterans, early intervention, and carers.  Nominations welcomed from all sectors, for services in all age groups

16.Mental Health and the Emergency Services

For positive practice in improving experience and outcomes for the public or staff working in the blue light services.  Nominations welcomed from all blue light services, as well as NHS, Social Care and third sector partners.

  1. Mental wellbeing of staff (Otsuka Healthcare Solutions)

For positive practice by a health or social care organisation in any sector who support the emotional health and mental well-being of their staff in an innovative way.  Nominations welcomed from the acute sector, commissioners and local authorities as well as mental health services.

  1. Older People’s MH and Dementia

For positive practice by a team who have developed a service who think innovatively in how to provide the most effective services for older people with mental health problems, generally, and/or dementia specifically.

19. Mental Health Social Work

For positive practice in improving outcomes for service users through social work by a local authority or social care provider.

20. Quality Improvement (Mindset)

For positive practice in the use of a recognised QI methodology to help improve outcomes in MH. This could be through the use of the model of improvement, lean, six sigma, theory of constraints, total quality management or microsystems coaching, experience based co-design or innovations that combine or evolve approaches. Nominations welcomed from all sectors, for services in all age groups who can demonstrate their results through the use of measurement for improvement.

21. Recovery

For positive practice in recovery services which allow those using services to reach their utmost potential across any age group
