THE POSITIVE PRACTICE IN MENTAL HEALTH COLLABORATIVE – a unique patient led group of over 70 organisations, half of which are Mental Health Trusts has today urged the Chancellor to substantially increase specific funding for mental health, as well as ring-fencing the said funding.
Dr Geraldine Strathdee OBE, Patron of the Collaborative said “We now have global leading evidence based mental Health policies. We have thousands of committed leaders from every sector working very hard to implement them.”
“Our members want to provide care for more people who are suffering without help. We have economic evidence of the benefits of investment to individuals, employers, communities and wider society. But unless we now get the levels of protected Investment needed, we are failing large numbers of people and their families.”
