Kate is our Joint SIG Lead for Social Care and works at Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust.
Kate is a qualified Social Worker and warranted AMHP and has been practicing for the past 12 years, during which time she has worked in a wide variety of settings. In her current role Kate provides professional leadership and guidance to the HPFT social work workforce ensuring that excellent, personalised social work and social care is delivered within an integrated service provision. Kate is an advocate of the Think Ahead programme, a newly established national graduate training approach aimed at driving up quality and innovation within mental health social work and will be overseeing the first cohort of graduates within HPFT later in the year.
Kate is passionate about innovating and improving the quality of services and ensuring that the people who are using them are always at the centre of decision making, enabling the development of co-produced, personalised, integrated pathways for recovery. She is currently leading on improving personalised care and support in adult community services through the development and delivery of the Think Local Act Personal (TLAP) Making It Real action plan within HPFT.
