Claire Evans, Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is the Participation Development Worker for the East Cheshire Child Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) of Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. Her role is to develop participation by involving service users, parents and carers in service development and redesign.
All CAMHS work is recovery focused and Claire’s input with the young people supports this as they now feel fully involved, listened to and respected as involvement representatives. This has led to an increase in their self-esteem and confidence to the point where they are now willing and able to speak to large groups of people.
“The opportunities that Claire has provided me with through the service over the past months have changed my life because without them I wouldn’t be where I am today.”
